Yes. If you are unsatisfied with the performance of any products, we will replace it with another product that may be more suitable for your requirements, or refund your money.

Should I use your fuel cleaners with regular diesel/unleaded or premium/super diesel/unleaded?

Our cleaners can be used with regular or premium/super diesel or unleaded.

Should your fuel additives be added to an empty or almost empty tank?

It is not important how much fuel is already in the tank before administering the fuel additive, provided fuel is added immediately afterward so that you achieve the correct dilution with the fuel and help wash down all the fuel treatment into the fuel tank.
For example: You are about to use Diesel Dr in a vehicle with a 60L fuel tank. It doesn’t matter if there is 10L or 50L currently in the fuel in the tank. Just ensure you fill the tank with diesel after adding the Diesel Dr.
If you are using one of the DNA fuel conditioning products, add the required amount of fuel treatment before adding the fuel. For example, if you use Diesel Power DNA and plan to add 40L of fuel to your fuel tank, add 40ml of Diesel Power DNA, and then add 40L of fuel.
If you are planning to fill up the fuel tank but are not sure how many litres it will accept, guess the amount of fuel additive beforehand. It doesn’t need to be exact. For example, if you estimate the tank will take 50L to fill up, add 50ml of fuel additive beforehand.

What order should I use the Diesel Dr and DPF & Turbo Dr?

If the DPF or Turbo does not need urgent cleaning, then use Diesel Dr first with a full tank of fuel, followed by DPF & Turbo Dr in the subsequent tank. Please note that Diesel Dr treats a full tank (40-80L), and the DPF & Turbo Dr treats approximately half a tank (20-30L) of fuel. This sequence allows Diesel Dr to clean the fuel system initially, and then DPF & Turbo Dr can address any issues related to the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and turbocharger.
If the DPF or Turbo is severely affecting the vehicle's performance, such as limp home mode, then reverse the order. Use DPF & Turbo Dr first with 20-30L of fuel, followed by Diesel Dr with a full tank of fuel.

Can I use Diesel Dr or DPF & Turbo Dr with Diesel Power or Diesel Race DNA?

Diesel Power DNA or Diesel Race DNA can be used in subsequent tanks of fuel, but they cannot be combined in the same tank. This would overdose on cetane, detergent and lubricant. These products are designed to complement each other, enhancing overall engine performance and cleanliness when Diesel Power DNA or Diesel Race DNA is used after Diesel Dr.
Diesel Dr provides thorough cleaning and Diesel Power DNA helps keep the system clean, protect and improve performance on an ongoing basis.

Will your diesel products work in a petrol engine and vice versa?

Only Hybrogen, as it is a combustion modifier that works with any hydrocarbon fuel. Our other products are specifically formulated for each fuel type, and each fuel type has different performance enhancement, cleaning, and lubrication needs.

I accidentally added a petrol additive to a diesel vehicle or vice versa. What should I do?

If you accidentally added one of our petrol additives to a diesel vehicle (or vice versa), don’t panic. Even though the product won’t work as intended, it won’t cause any short, medium, or long-term harm. Avoid racing the engine until you have consumed at least ¾ of treated fuel and filled up on top with fresh fuel.

When using your fuel cleaners, do I need to take the vehicle for a long run on the motorway?

While not strictly necessary, journeys that allow the engine to reach full operating temperature more often can help maximize the effectiveness of carbon removal, particularly with DPF or Turbo cleaning. Extended driving allows for higher engine temperatures and consistent operation, enhancing the cleaning process by allowing deposits to be burned off more effectively.
It is not as important with fuel system cleaning as the temperature does not interfere with the efficacy of the injector cleaning.

Do I need to change my driving style (e.g., higher revs) when using a diesel or petrol cleaner?

You do not necessarily need to change your driving style when using a fuel cleaner. However, with DPF or Turbo cleaning, driving at higher revs occasionally can help force a DPF regeneration, aiding the DPF cleaning process.
With Turbo cleaning, gentle throttle bursts that spool the turbo can help free up sticking variable vanes.

Can any of your fuel treatments harm the engine?

When used as directed, our fuel treatments will not harm your engine. We use trusted components in our formations, and the fuel system detergent packs are fully no-harm tested by an approved testing facility in the UK.

How are fuel and carbon deposits removed?

Fuel and carbon deposits are removed through chemical reactions facilitated by detergents or catalysts in our diesel and petrol cleaners. We use high-quality and highly active amine-based detergents that break down carbon and other deposits in a safe and controlled way, allowing them to be burned off during normal engine operation or carried away through the exhaust system.
Our Fueloxy technologies survive combustion, delivering fuel-borne catalysts that attach to carbon molecules in areas such as the Turbo, CAT, and DPF. They reduce the temperature at which the carbon can burn, thus allowing it to burn off naturally.

How does your fuel cleaner clean the DPF or Turbo?

A fuel cleaner cleans the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and turbo using amine-based detergents to break down soot and accumulated carbon deposits in these components. Fuel-borne catalysts then attach to carbons and reduce the temperature at which they can burn, thus allowing them to burn off naturally. With DPF deposits, trapped particles are burned off more easily during regeneration cycles.

Can your diesel cleaners be used with engines that use AdBlue or Eolys/FAP fluid?

Yes, all of our diesel cleaners can be used with engines that utilize AdBlue or Eolys/FAP fluid. Our fuel detergents and combustion catalysts work alongside existing emission reduction catalysts to provide additional carbon removal and emission reduction functions.

Can I use your fuel cleaners if the vehicle handbook states not to use additives?

Unfortunately, this is standard practice, and manufacturers discourage fuel additives for several reasons. The main one is to help protect revenue streams on replacement parts, such as fuel injectors, turbos, DPFs, intake parts, etc. The other reason is that they are protecting themselves against a very small minority that may misuse additives, such as using them improperly or overdosing.
Our fuel cleaners cannot cause any harm, and they are covered by an extensive public and professional insurance liability policy.

Can using your additives invalidate my warranty?

Manufacturers are known to find excuses to refuse warranty claims. Our fuel additives comply with BS 228 and BS EN 590 fuel specifications. Therefore, they are compliant, safe to use, and not easily detectable.

How do I measure the amount of product to put into the fuel tank?

What is the success rate of your fuel cleaners and conditioners?

With existing running faults such as engine hesitation, warning lights, DPF blockages, turbo deposits, excess exhaust smoke, deteriorated performance, and so on, there is approximately a 70-80% chance that you will notice a difference or improvement in underlying symptoms. Sometimes, deposits might be in areas that cannot be reached with fuel additives, or other underlying issues might require repair.
With fuel conditioners, it depends on the customer and engine being treated. Many customers will feel a difference, such as in engine performance and tone. Functions that clean, lubricate and protect are not as noticeable; rest assured, they are there.

How do your fuel cleaners help clean the EGR?

Fuel cleaners help clean the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system by dissolving carbon deposits that accumulate over time. This cleaning action restores proper airflow through the EGR valve, improving overall emissions control and engine efficiency.

What is the difference between Diesel Power DNA & Diesel Race DNA?

Diesel Power DNA is designed for a balance of high performance, cleaning and protection. Diesel Race DNA focuses on maximizing available power, acceleration and protection.

What is meant by multiple cleaning technologies in one?

All Oilsyn cleaners contain multiple cleaning technologies, which refer to formulations that combine various active ingredients designed to simultaneously target different types of deposits, such as carbon buildup, gum formation, and varnish, enhancing overall cleaning effectiveness compared to single-technology products.

How long will it take to notice the benefits or results of using your fuel or oil additives?

Users should begin noticing a difference within a few miles, but the full benefits may manifest over a full tank of fuel.

Can I combine your products with other products?

We pride ourselves on ensuring our products contain the best formulation for your needs. Our cleaners are high-strength, and we do not recommend combining them with other products to avoid overdosing on certain functions or other compatibility issues.

Do your oil additives need to be added after each oil change?

Our oil additives will leave residual protection, but that will diminish quickly after an oil change or oil flush. Therefore, we recommend replenishing them with each new oil change.

What happens if I accidentally overdose one of your additives?

Our products have overdosing contingencies built into them so minor overdosing will not cause any harm. Excessive overdosing on fuel additives may lead to temporary issues such as rough running until the excess additive is diluted with fresh fuel. If you have overtreated and are concerned, please contact us. The support email is regularly checked, even out of hours, and we will get back to you.

Will any of our oil additives harm the engine or seals etc.?

When used according to the instructions, our additives will not harm engines or seals. Our fuel additives are safe for use with known fuel system seals, and our oil treatments nourish and protect engine seals.

Can I add your oil additive outside of an oil change?

Yes, you can add an oil additive outside of an oil change if necessary; however, it's best practice to add it during an oil change to maximise the benefits of having the additive work for the entire oil life cycle.
